DetroitHockey.Net is proud to release the newest edition of its site, one of the two oldest fan-operated Detroit Red Wings sites on the Internet.

The new version of DetroitHockey.Net offers a much more customizable experience for visitors. Users can now register for a MyDetroitHockey.Net account that gives them access to the DetroitHockey.Net Community Forums and allows them to save their favorite news, multimedia, and NHL logos to one easily accessible page.

DetroitHockey.Net Officially Launches

After several days of testing, DetroitHockey.Net officially launched Wednesday night.

The site went active on Monday, but still had minor kinks to be worked out that wouldn't be found without users interacting with the it. All errors that were found were fixed by Wednesday evening, and DetroitHockey.Net officially replaced drwcentral.net later that night.

drwcentral.net to Become DetroitHockey.Net

drwcentral.net will receive a new name and be moved to a new location for the upcoming NHL season. The site will be renamed and relocated to DetroitHockey.Net.

DetroitHockey.Net, or DH.N, will be almost identical to the current drwcentral.net.

While several large-scale changes are slated to be made for DH.N, none of those will occur during the transition from drwcentral.net to DetroitHockey.Net.

drwcentral.net Databases Back Online

The three databases corrupted on Monday have been repaired, and all functions of drwcentral.net are back online.

Due to a miscommunication with CI Host, drwcentral.net's server host, repairs on two of the three databases were delayed several hours, however everything is back up and running now.

Late Monday night, several databases utilized on drwcentral.net were discovered to have been corrupted. As a result, much of Central's content is unavailable at this time.

drwcentral.net is receiving full cooperation from it's host, CI Host (www.cihost.com) and expects to have the problem resolved soon.

drwcentral.net Completes Redesign

drwcentral.net completed their newest redesign on Sunday, a week later than expected.

The new layout replaces the "Next Game" and "Last Game" features with a Fan Poll and allows for more featurs on the main page.

The main page now feautres part of a recap of the latest game, the latest news about the site or an editorial, information about what's going on in the drwcentral.net Message Board Center, and a calendar showing the games being played that week.
